About
I think in systems, edges, and the places where things fail.
Titles change. The discipline doesn’t. I’ve worked across cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, and enterprise architecture, but the through-line has always been the same: understanding how behavior emerges from structure.
Operating principle
I’d rather build something sustainable than something that only looks impressive in a deck.
Read
I like architecture that can survive contact with reality.
Current focus
Azure, AI systems, agents, search, enterprise implementation, and the gap between a clean concept and a durable production system.
Systems portrait
aboutThoughtful systems work, minus the theater.
By day
I’m an architect focused on Azure and AI. Increasingly, that means building agents, AI search systems, and the infrastructure that makes AI actually work in enterprise environments. I care as much about what happens after rollout as I do about the architecture itself.
Current focus
Azure, AI systems, agents, search, enterprise implementation, and the gap between a clean concept and a durable production system.
01
Structure first
I pay attention to boundaries, feedback loops, incentives, and what breaks when real people start leaning on the system.
02
Taste matters
Clarity is not a garnish. Good judgment shows up in naming, interfaces, documentation, and what gets left out.
03
Production is the test
I care about whether something survives handoff, scrutiny, edge cases, and the messiness of real environments.
How I work
I bridge the gap between “we have an idea” and “this thing runs.”
Discovery, design, implementation, optimization, and the unglamorous operational work after the handoff.
Instinct
I challenge assumptions, including my own.
I’m skeptical of solutions that sound great in theory but haven’t met compliance, operations, or a messy stakeholder group.
Outside the day job
I tinker to understand where tools quietly fall apart.
Especially with AI tools and agents. Not because I think they’ll change everything overnight, but because I want a grounded read on what they’re truly good at.
Why this site exists
This is where I write about systems, tradeoffs, failure modes, and half-formed ideas before they calcify.
